About me

I'm originally from Madison, Wisconsin. I studied film/animation/video at Rhode Island School of Design. I live in Oakland, California.

I've been drawing and self-publishing comics for almost fifteen years. During that time I've worked in collaboration with other artists, most notably Peach S. Goodrich with whom I co-created the Eisner and Ignatz nominated self-published comic series Viewotron in 2011. I illustrated the graphic novel Fieldhouse for Ah! Books, and am currently working on my first autobiographical graphic novel (that is a mouthful) called Mom: A Story of Love and Mental Illness, which will be published by First Second. Peach S Goodrich and I are also working on the 2nd issue of Viewotron: Comics and Stories from Adhouse Books. My comics appeared in Best American Comics 2014, and been excerpted in the New Yorker Online and The LA Times. The first issue of Viewotron: Comics and Stories is available now.
